One militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight at Zeipora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday, police said
Taking to their Twitter handle, police said one militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight, however the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained, “#01 unidentified terrorist killed. Operation going on. Further details shall follow.” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
Earlier, reports said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Zeipora.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
