Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said that the GST council meeting will now be held in Chandigarh on June 28 and 29 instead of Srinagar.
Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that New Delhi had earlier given security clearance GST council meeting to be held in Srinagar.
However, due to fresh security concerns the decision was withdrawn today and meeting has been cancelled in Srinagar.
Finance minister said that the GST Council meeting will take place in Chandigarh on June 28 and 29. (KNS)
