The government forces on Tuesday resumed the anti-militancy operations in Kawoosa village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district after it was halted late Monday night due to darkness.
A local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), reported that search operation has been resumed in Kawoosa village in the morning, quoting unidentifed officials.
Earlier, a joint team of police, the army, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a cordon and search operation in Kawoosa area of Narbal on Monday afternoon based on a specific input about the presence of militants in the area.
“As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter,” the official said. (KNO)
