Retired judges and jurists, headed by Supreme Court Bar Association president Adish Aggarwala are going to hoist the Indian flag at Lal Chowk on Sunday.

In a statement, the All India Bar Association said, “A delegation of retired judges and top jurists of India, led by the International Council of Jurists President and Senior Advocate Dr Adish C Aggarwala, is to unfurl the national flag at Srinagar’s iconic Lal Chowk on June 18.”

Dr Aggarwala, who is also the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) said the “gesture was meant to demonstrate the ground reality to the international community that Jammu and Kashmir has returned to normalcy after the Narendra Modi government’s brave decision to scrap the Article 370 of the Constitution”.
