Prominent social activist Guftar Ahmed Chowdhary while addressinga massive gathering at Kotranka today urged the government of India to restore statehood and special status of Jammu and Kashmir and then hold assembly election.

In a statement, Chowdhary appealed the general public of area to unite together for the upliftment of area.

The youth leader according to a communique sent here said old traditional politics will not work any more in J-K and ‘when it comes to Kotranka specially every political leader of area has badly ignored this area.’

Chowdhary while addressing the gathering said that youth will play key role in next assembly elections. “Time is gone when we were fooled by fake slogans Only Youth can feel the pain of youth and we should come out from comfort zone for larger cause.”

He also appealed UT administration to speed up the developmental projects in Kotranka area. “Everyone is suffering from PDD to PHE to Roads still public is crying for basic issues. Sadak, Bijli & Pani is just election slogan practically on ground everyone is suffering.” He said as per a statement.

Chowdhary urged LG administration to pay special attention toward far flung area of kotranka. He also urged govt to announce border battalion for PeerPanjal, Regularisation of daily wagers, special recruitment for unemployed youth.

He thanked general public of area for coming out in large number that too on short notice. Many prominent personalities of area along with general public attended meeting .
