Two militants were killed in a gunfight on Saturday in Dadura area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, reported a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS).
Unidentified official sources told GNS that two militants were killed in a brief exchange of firing. However, their identity couldn’t be ascertained yet. Meanwhile, searches are still going on at gunfight site.
Earlier, according to the reports reaching GNS, a joint team of Police and Army launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Dadura.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off a gunfight. (GNS)
