Three militants and an army trooper were killed in a gunfight between the militants and the government forces in Zadoora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.

Unnamed official sources told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) that three militants were killed, whose identity is yet to be ascertained.

Sources further said that one army trooper received bullet wound, who was subsequently shifted to 92 Base hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries. Earlier, according to the reports reaching GNS, a joint team of the police, Army’s 50 Rashtriya Rifles, and Central Reserve Police Force launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Zadoora.
