Militants fired upon a joint checkpoint party of the government forces in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday afternoon.
“Terrorists fired upon joint naka party of police/CRPF in #Bijbehara area of Anantnag. In this #terror incident, one police personnel got injured who was immediately evacuated to hospital for treatment,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
They further said that the area has been cordoned off. “Search in progress,” they said.
