Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday evening said that they identified the two militants who were killed during the gunfight in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag.
The police identified the first killed militant as Junaid and the second one as Basit Bhat of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants outfit.
They said that Bhat was involved in killing of Bharatiya Janata Party’s sarpanch Ghulam Rasool Dar and his wife, who were killed on 9 August last year.
