A police personal has succumbed of grave head injuries he sustained while cutting firewood for a mosque at Madhmadav area of Lolab in this frontier district.
Khursheed Ahmad Baba (27) son of Late Abdul Aziz Baba, presently posted at Police Control Room (PCR) Kupwara as Constable, received serious head injuries while cutting firewood for mosque.
The injured was immediately rushed to Sub-District Hospital Kupwara, however, he was brought dead on arrival by the doctors present there.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt from a close relative that the deceased was sole earning hand in the family, comprising of his widowed mother and three unmarried sisters. (GNS)
