Srinagar: Government forces have recovered a pistol in the premises of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Zonal Office in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday afternoon.

The pistol was recovered during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Gulshan Abad area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said, adding that the CASO was launched by a joint team of forces including Army’s 1 RR, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police. The CASO was launched following the inputs about the presence of militants in the area, reported wire service KNO.

A total of six rounds and a Chinese Pistol were recovered by forces, an official said. The officer further stated that the CASO has been further intensified in the area. (KNO)
