A BJP leader from Jammu, has said that those Kashmiris who had celebrated India’s defeat against Pakistan in the ongoing T-20 World Cup should be skinned alive and their citizenship be taken and should be booked under the charges of sedition.
In a statement, Vikram Singh Randhawa said, “agencies should take this matter up and those who have cheered for Pakistan, their degrees should be cancelled and thier citizenship taken away from them.”
Randhawa said the Pakistani blood runs in the viens of Kashmiris, and they should be beaten and skinned alive for it.
Randhawa while questioning Kashmiris for not celebrating Pakistan’s win against Afghanistan said, “None of them celebrated Pakistan’s win against Afghanistan. Did thier mother die that day? It is only a win against Kaafirs they celebrate. These katmullas (derogatory term for Muslims) give divorces on mobile, they should also pray nimaaz on WhatsApp. Why do they occupy public spaces for it?”
His statements comes amid growing anger against those who celebrated Pakistan’s win. A number of Kashmiri students were beaten in Punjab over their celebration of Pakistan win, and three more were jailed in Agra.
Meanwhile Kashmiri politicians have sought action against the BJP leader, “no action taken against an ex BJP MLA who calls for genocide of Kashmiris & to skin them alive. But J-K students are charged with sedition for merely cheering the winning team. India is surely the mother of all democracies. @JmuKmrPolice @OfficeOfLGJandK”. Mehbooba Mufti, the PDP presidnt tweeted.
Another PDP leader, Naeem Akhtar while posting the video of Randhawa’s speech tagged Jammu and Kashmir police in a bid to seek their attention towards the hate speech.
