Four Pakistani army personnel were killed in a militant attack on a forces’ post in south Waziristan, late Thursday night, reported Dawn.
The military’s media affairs wing said in a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that troops responded promptly and killed four militants in retaliation.
President Dr Arif Alvi condemned the attack and expressed grief over the killing of army personnel.
Earlier this month, the newspaper reported that four militants were killed during an exchange of fire with the government forces in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan tribal district.
