An ITBP personnel, who was injured during a road accident in the Chandanwari area of Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag, succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura on Tuesday, taking the toll to eight.

An official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that an ITBP personnel identified as Nandan Singh son of Lal Singh was injured in the Pahalgam accident on 16 August and was undergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura.

He said that the injured personnel succumbed to his injuries during the treatment today at SKIMS Soura.

Notably, seven ITBP personnel were killed while 32 others including two J-K police personnel were injured when a bus carrying them fell into a gorge near the Chandanwari area of Pahalgam on 16 August. (KNO)
