A woman lost her life while seven more were injured in a road accident in Thathri area Doda on Wednesday.

A police officer said that one Duster bearing registration number JKO6A_6939 plying from Kishtwar towards Doda met with an accident near grid station Thathri .

In the incident eight  persons were injured who were shifted to hospital where one lady identified as Sushma Devi wife of Bir Singh resident of Bhaderwah succumbed to injuries, he said.

He identified injured as Sorav (08), Gorav(07), Charan Dass (23), Rishi Kumar (52), Kewal Kumar (25), Ankush Kumar (28) and Raksha Devi (27) who all are residents of Bhagratha Bhalla in Bhaderwah area.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance and started investigation in this regard. (KS)
