Srinagar: A 20-year old girl allegedly committed suicide in Hartburu village of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal on Friday afternoon.
Officials told that the girl name with held from Chattibandi Bandipora soon after returning back from examination centre to her rented room ended her life by hanging herself in her rented room where she had been residing for the last two and half year.
Following the incident, she was rushed to Sub District hospital where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
The hospital authorities confirmed about her death and said that after conducting all legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her family for last rites.
An official told that a case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is being taken up. (KNO)
