Two non-locals were on intervening Monday and Tuesday night apprehended on recovery of contraband by police near Kothibagh locality here, officials said.

They said that the duo namely Manpreet Singh son of Dilwandar Singh and Prince son of Pritam Singh, both residents of Jalandhar were intercepted by police in Kothibagh Bagh area near Tourist Reception Centre.

“On searches contraband substance (Fukki), weighing around nine kilograms was recovered from their possession”, they told GNS.

“Both the accused were taken into custody alongwith the recovered contraband material and due investigations started into it”, they further said. (GNS)
