Srinagar: National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against two Lashkar-e-Toiba militants from Pakistan administered Kashmir for concealing arms and ammunition close to the Line of Control (LoC).

The NIA spokesman said that on 15 February, 2020, NIA filed a charge sheet against two LeT militants viz. Khalil Ahmad Kayani, 34, son of Abdul Aziz Kayani and Mohammad Nazeem, 23, son of Muhammad Arif Khan, both residents of Village Tedaban, Tehsil Khurshidabad, District Haveli Farwad Kahuta, (PaK under section 120B of RPC, Section 13, 18, 20, 23 and 39 of UA(P) Act, Section 7, 25 of Arms Act, Section 4, 5 of Explosives Substances Act and Section 3 and  3A of Egress and Internal Movement (Control) Ordinance, 2005, in case  No. RC 05/2019/NIA/ JMU (Recovery of arms, ammunitions and explosives at LoC) before the NIA Special Court, Jammu (J-K).

“Case is related to the arrest of above mentioned 2 (two) accused near Nilkanth Nala approximately 700 meters in Indian side of LoC, in Gulmarg Sector of district Baramulla and recovery of arms, ammunition, grenades, IED material including explosives & detonators, Pakistan made medicine and eatable items etc. from the forest area near LoC, at their instance by the Indian Army, on 21.08.2019,” the statement said.

“Investigation has revealed that accused Khalil Ahmad Kayani and Mohammad Nazeem from Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK), were in contact of their Handler of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and Pakistani army in PaK. Both were engaged in the task of concealing the arms ammunitions, explosives etc. across the LoC in the forest area of the Indian Territory for the use by Pakistani Terrorists to carry out the terrorist activities in India.” (KNO)
