A two-day-long workshop “Wheels of Change” organised by Kohinoor Women’s and Children Welfare Society (KWCWS) was concluded at Pulwama today.
The workshop was held in collaboration with an Non-Government Organisation (NGO) Khatoon. The prime focus of the workshop was the empowerment of women and youth counselling.
As per the statement of KWCWS, around 300 young boys and girls from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district attended the two-day workshop.
The workshop was presided by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pulwama, social activist Baba Muntaha and Chairman KWCWS Nageena Akhter. Besides Advocate Zarin Ali, Mudasir dar, Sheikh Rayees, Sheikh Manzoor and Tariq Ahmad Khan also spoke during the workshop.
In her initial remarks, Baba Muntaha spoke on women related issues, their solutions and the opportunities women can avail in the current times to compete with the changing dynamics of life. She also talked about the initiative “Khatoon”.
Sheikh Rayees spoke on career counselling and gender equality. Rayees Ahmad Khan addressed the workshop and discussed the role of teachers in society.
Nigeena Akhtar presented the vote of thanks and conducted the proceedings of the workshop. The workshop was supported by District Administration Pulwama.
