Srinagar: Kashmir based NDTV reporter Nazir Masoodi has been awarded the best Television reporter in English for his coverage on the abrogation of article-370 in Jammu and Kashmir and it’s aftermath.
Earlier this year, Mr Masoodi was awarded The International Press Institute India award for excellence in journalism for its “expose of the conspiracy to scuttle” the Kathua rape and murder case probe.
Mr. Masoodi has been one of the few journalists in Kashmir to report ground reality in the weeks after 5 August 2019 despite facing intimidation and harassment by authorities.
NDTV meanwhile won as many as 11 News Television awards, with Ravish Kumar winning two awards for both of his daily shows.
Indiantelevision.com concluded the much-coveted News Television Awards in a virtual ceremony today. Conferring the honours was Indiantelevision.com founder and editor-in-chief Anil Wanvari.
