Police have arrested twelve persons and recovered eleven packets of heroin, arms and ammunition besides cash in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, officials said on Saturday.

A police official told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) that a narco-militant module was busted by arresting 12 persons from whom 10 grenades, 4 pistols along with as many magazines and 20 rounds were recovered.

This is apart from 11 packets of heroin, and cash worth 21.5 lakh rupees besides cheque amounting to one lakh rupees seized from them, the official said.

The police, the official said, also seized one truck, a verna vehicle and a scooty in connection with case. (GNS)
