Members of Parliament led by National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leader Chirag Paswan have arrived in Kashmir today to participate in an event to present awards to persons of imminence, who have done “exceptional service in different fields of life in Kashmir”.
The MPs will stay at the State Guest House and will also meet various delegations there, an official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
The agency reported that Paswan will be the chief guest during an award ceremony event titled “Real Hero Awards” scheduled to be held at KICC on 21 March 2021.
The event, organised by South Asia Peace Movement, will commence at 10:30 am. Superintendent of Cyber Police Kashmir zone Tahir Ashraf, Greater Kashmir newspaper executive editor Arif Shafi Wani, head of department Chest Disease Medicines SKIMS Bemina Dr Javaid Malik, Prof Mohammad Ayub Dar Dean and HOD School of Law Kashmir University are among awardees for their exceptional services in the respective fields.
Among others in the media category, assistant editor Times of India Salim Pandit, journalist Majid Hyderi, and Greater Kashmir correspondent Mudasir Yaqoob have made it to the list of Real Hero Awards. (KNO)
