Srinagar: The daughter-in-law of Moulvi Muhammad Shah, the former general secretary of Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam and the younger brother of Muhajir-e-Millat Moulvi Muhammad Yousuf Shah (RA) passed away after a brief illness at her home at Moulvi Stop in Lal Bazar area of Srinagar. The deceased was wife of late Moulvi Ghulam Mustafa.

Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam, in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise and extended heartfelt condolence with the members of the Mirwaiz Family especially the deceased’s son Moulvi Iftikhar Ahmad, Anjuman head Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, late Moulvi Ghulam Mustafa’s brothers – Er Nisar Ahmad, Moulvi Muzaffar Ahmad and Moulvi Basharat Ahmad.

Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam also prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul and forbearance to all the bereaved family members.

The statement reads that the funeral prayers of the deceased were offered today morning, while Mirwaiz Umar Farooq could not attend the Namaaz-e-Janazah owing to his continuous arbitrary house arrest since August 5, 2019.

It stated that no gathering for Fateha would be held in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and people are requested to pray for the departed soul and her ascension to Jannat-ul-Firdous—(KNO)
