Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday arrested a militant in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, reported India Today.

After receiving the information regarding the movement of a militant the police along with 29 Rashtriya Rifles and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), established a checkpoint.

The arrested militant has been identified as Junaid Farooq Pandith alias Abu Talha who is a resident of Pattan.

Junaid had joined militancy last year before the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35 A.

A case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered with police station Pattan.
