An unidentified man was found hanging with a tree at the Al-Maroof Colony area of Ahmadnagar in Kashmir’s capital Srinagar.
Reports reaching a local news agency, Kashmir Dot Com (KDC), that one unidentified man believed to be of Gujjar community was found hanging on a tree at Al-Maroof Colony here.
A police officer confirmed the incident and said the body of the man was spotted by some locals of the area and accordingly informed the police.
A police team was immediately sent on the spot and took the body into their possession for medico-legal formalities, he said, adding that the identification of the man was being ascertained.
A case under a relevant section of the law is being registered in this regard and further investigation is going on, he added. (KDC)
