Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha during his maiden visit to district Ganderbal, Tuesday reviewed developmental scenario, besides taking stock of COVID19 management.

The Lt Governor chaired a high level meeting of officers at mini secretariat Ganderbal, which was attended by his Advisor Baseer Ahmed Khan, Chief Secretary BVR Subramanyam, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir PK Pole, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar besides several senior officers of civil and police administration.

The LG e-inaugurated 12 developmental projects and laid e-foundation of three projects of public importance and inspected road widening construction work from Pandach to Behaama Chowk.

During the meeting, the DDC Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal briefed the LG about various developmental works being undertaken and measures taken by the administration to effectively deal with the COVID19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, the Lt Governor interacted with some delegations including Chairpersons of Block Development Councils, Municipal Council members, Sarpanchs and civil society members and fruit growers.

BDC Chairpersons, Sarpanchs, Pahari speaking people, senior citizens, transporters, Traders federation, Fruit, vegetable growers, representatives of Gujjar-Bakerwal and Pithoos working enroute Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra met LG Manoj Sinha during Public Outreach Programmes at Ganderbal and Kangan.

Students’ representatives, sportspersons, Social & political activists, Shia Muslim Organization also met the LG. The delegations apprised LG of their issues. The LG assured to redress the issues on priority.

Later Lieutenant Governor visited Kangan Sub Division of Ganderbal and interacted with the farmers students and staffs—(KNO)
