Joint Forces today claimed that it arrested a militant affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Chadora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district along with arms and ammunition.

Unnamed sources told a local news agency, Kashmir News Trust (KNT) that the arrested militant is from Memandar village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district and had gone missing three weeks ago.

The sources added that the said militant had joined LeT in the first week of this month. “A pistol and 2 magazines, 16 rounds were recovered from the said militant during an operation launched jointly by soldiers from 53 Rashtriya Rifles and SOG Chadora.” (KNT)
