A lady committed suicide by jumping into river Jhelum near Zero Bridge, Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Tuesday morning, officials said.
An official said that a lady (name withheld), resident of Sonwar, jumped into the river Jehlum near Zero Bridge Rajbagh Srinagar.
Soon after the incident, the body was retrieved by locals with the help of Rajbagh police and was shifted to the nearest hospital for modico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident, and started investigation into the matter. (KNO)
