One militant has been killed in a gunfight at Batpora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, the police said.
The militant has been identified as Abu Hurarah who is a Pakistani militant. “Killed #terrorist has been identified as Abu Hurarah, a foreign #Pakistani terrorist linked with proscribed terror outfit JeM,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted, quoting ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar.
“incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including AK rifle recovered,” the police further added.
Earlier, the police said that two civilians and an army man were also injured in the gunfight, all of them are stated to be stable.
