Authorities have ordered suspension of community classes in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district “in view of the spread of Covid-19”.
“As per instructions of Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Dr Bilal Mohi-ud Bhat and in view of spread of Covid-19, the community classes are hereby suspended in all government as well as private school/ coaching centers with immediate effect for two weeks,” reads an order by the Chief Education Officer Kulgam.
“All the HOIs of Govt and private schools are put under strict instructions to implement directions in letter and spirit,” the order, as per news agency GNS reads, adding, “However they shall ensure the conduct of online classes in their institutions as circulated from time to time.”
The DC, as per the order, said any kind of violation of the order shall be viewed seriously and strict action will be taken under Disaster Management Act.
