Srinagar: Kashmiri artists are set to grace the comeback season of the much-revered musical show, Coke Studio.

The show’s Indian franchise is returning after seven years and Muhammad Muneem, who is popularly known as ‘Alif’, will be collaborating with Noor Muhammad for one of the episodes of the show.

Speaking with The Kashmir Walla, Muneem confirmed that he has written and composed a song for an episode in the upcoming season.

“The song shall feature Noor Mohammad, Ashima Mahajan, Zartasha Zainab, Shivani Matyal, Samhita Shiledar, Dr Samiyah Nabi, and ‘Rumuz-e-Bekhudi’,” he said, referring to other artists joining him for the song.

The upcoming season will also feature other big names from the country’s music industry including Armaan Malik, Diljit Dosanjh, Jasleen Royal, and hip-hop stars ‘Seedhe Maut’ and Prabhdeep.

As per the inputs, the season will also put the spotlight on regional Indian instruments including Rabaab. Earlier, Noor Mohammad collaborated with the renowned music director duo Saleem-Suleman in the song ‘Nazneen’, where he took over Rabaab.

The season is set to premiere on 7 February and will be an amalgamation of over 50 artists from across the country, who have come together to create over 10 tracks celebrating the roots of India.
