Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police Friday claimed to have arrested a juvenile accused of rape.
In a statement issued here a police spokesman said that Police Station Nigeen in pursuance of the investigation of a case pertaining to the rape, apprehended one juvenile individual.
“Case FIR No. 7/2020 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Nigeen and further investigation in the matter has been initiated.” He added.
A police team was able to immediately track the accused and apprehended him. Accordingly, he has been shifted to Observation Home following the orders of Juvenile Justice Board.
Further investigation is in progress.
