After remaining closed due to rockslide, the Jammu-Srinagar highway reopened on Friday evening for one-way traffic, officials said.
“Jammu-Srinagar NHW through for light motor vehicles as one-way traffic being allowed, Only stranded vehicles have been allowed to reach their destinations,” Asgar Malik, Deputy Superintendent of Police (traffic), national highway Banihal told a local news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
He said the debris has been removed and the stranded Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) have been allowed to ply. However, he said that the work to clear the roads completely will be started shortly again—(KNO)
