A militant affiliated with Jash-e-Mohammad outfit Kaiser Koka who is active since 2018 is trapped in an ongoing gunfight in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday afternoon, police said.

“Notorious terrorist of JeM terror outfit namely Kaiser Koka active since 2018 trapped in encounter,” Kashmir police zone quoting ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said in a tweet.

In an another tweet, it informed that a militant has been killed while the peration in the area is in progress.

“Encounter has started at Wandakpora area of Awantipora. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” said Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet soon after the gunfight was started.

An official said that all exit and entrance points to the gunfight site have been sealed. (KNS).
