A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of Army was killed as India and Pakistan exchanged fire along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu division on Wednesday.

Unidentified official sources told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) that there was an exchange of fire between two armies in Tarkundi area in which the JCO was killed.

Army has so far not issued any official statement on the incident even as attempts to contact the defence ministry spokesman based in Jammu did not fructify. (GNS)
