A JCB operator was killed while two others sustained injuries after a major landslide hit several vehicles along Srinagar-Jammu highway at Samroli in Udhampur district. 

Several vehicles came under a major landslide during, resulting in on spot death of a JCB driver besides injuries to two others, reported a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS). The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Afroz Alam, a JCB driver. 

The two injured have been evacuated to a nearby health facility. Several vehicles have also been caught in the incident. A police official has confirmed the incident to GNS and said that a team is on the spot to assess the situation.
