Jammu- Srinagar national highway has been closed for vehicular traffic following a landslide after a major landslide occurred near the Rampari area in Banihal town of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
In a video shared by the deputy commissioner of Ramban, boulders can be seen on the highway, blocking it.
The deputy commissioner of Ramban district has advised people to follow advisories issued by the J-K traffic police. “People are advised to follow J&K Traffic Police advisories,” said Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, as per a report by India Today.
Sharing an update regarding the closure of the highway, J-K Traffic Police tweeted, “Jammu-Srinagar NHW still blocked due to mudslide at Rampari, Wagan Banihal.”
