A follower of Jammu and Kashmir police was injured after he was beaten by unknown persons in Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday late evening.

Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the follower identified as Bashir Ahmad son of Assadullah Mir of Chadoora was on way to home when some unknown persons stopped him and beat him with sticks. “They also tried to snatch money from him, but they failed when the locals gathered around.”

They said that he was rushed to sub-district hospital Chadoora, where from he was shifted to SMHS hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, a police official confirmed the incident and said that a case FIR No. 105/21 US 342, 323, 392 has been registered at Police station Chadoora and further investigations was going on—(KNO)
