Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has evacuated twenty people stranded in Bihar and they have boarded a bus on Sunday to reach home.

Officials told that following information to Sarmad Hafeez (IAS), Secretary Youth Services and Sports Department, the officer immediately contacted the District Magistrate Patna for all measures needed for evacuating the stranded people.

Subsequently, they said, a bus was arranged and all, eighteen of them from Anantnag and two from Srinagar districts of the Valley, boarded it. Soon after their arrival to J-K, necessary measures as warranted under COVID-19 protocol would be undertaken before they are allowed towards their destinations. (GNS)
