The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday postponed the Shab-Qadr holiday that was scheduled on 9 May.

The holiday according to the order will now be observed on 10 May.

“In partial modification of Government Order No. 1159-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 24.12.2020 and No. 1160-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated 24.12.2020, it is hereby ordered that the holiday on account of ‘Shab-i-Qadr” shall now be observed on 10th May, 2021 (Monday) instead of 9th May, 2021 (Sunday).” Reads the order.
