Srinagar: An infiltration bid was foiled by government forces in Gurez area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora on Tuesday.
A local news gathering agency Global News Service quoting unnamed officials reported that acting on specific Police inputs, suspicious movement was detected by forces along Line of control on 14th September and subsequently contact was established with the suspected militants. After brief exchange of firing, the infiltration bid was successfully foiled.
They said, during the joint search operation, War like stores were recovered such as, -01 Assault Rifle with 4 magazines & 135 rounds, 03 Pistols with 5 magazines & 120 rounds, 01 GPS, Cortex (4m) and 04 Rucksacks.(GNS)
