In a shocking incident, an infant was found dead in the Sherbagh area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, officials said.
An official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the body of the baby was found in a water body in Sherbagh area.
“It seems someone dumped the baby’s body and threw it into a water body,” he said, adding that the body was taken to a nearby health facility for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the matter. (KNO)
