The armies India and Pakistani Tuesday exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control at Machil and Gugaldhar sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Unnamed officials told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that this afternoon Pakistan resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Machil and Gulgaldhar sector in Kupwara. They added that Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation this afternoon and fired mortars and other weapons.

Meanwhile, the army’s defence spokesman, Colonel Rajesh Kalia told KNO that Pakistan initiated an Unprovoked Ceasefire Violation (CFV) today along the LoC in Macchil and Gugaldhar Sector, Kupwara in the afternoon hours by firing Mortars and other weapons. (KNO)
