The Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday said that India will observe one-day state mourning on 11 September over Queen Elizabeth’s demise.

“Government of India has decided that there will be one day State Mourning on September 11 throughout India in the wake of demise of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II,” quoting Ministry of Home Affairs ANI reported.

The Queen, Britain’s longest-serving monarch, passed away on Thursday at the age of 96 after 70 years on the throne.
