India on Thursday witnessed 3,17,532 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, marking a 12 percent increase in fresh cases since Wednesday.
Due to the virus, 491 people have died in the last 24 hours, taking the total fatality count in the country to 487,693.
While the recovery rate stands at 93.69 percent, the active caseload currently is 19,24,051 in India.
On Thursday, the country reported 9,287 Omicron cases which are 3.63 percent higher than yesterday, reports Indian Express.
