Iltija Mufti, the daughter of former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, has tested positive for COVID-19 today.
Iltija is the youngest daughter of the People’s Democratic Party President.
Staying at the family’s Fairview residence on Gupkar Road in Srinagar, Iltija has gone into self-isolation to keep her distance from her mother and grandmother, who are both in the same house.
As per family sources, she was in Dubai and on her return was tested.
However, Iltija is said to be asymptomatic so far.
“She has gone into isolation to stay away from everyone in the family,” said a source in the family.
Iltija, who has been vocal about political developments in Jammu and Kashmir, will be staying in isolation for now.
Jammu and Kashmir has been reeling under a ferocious wave of coronavirus with over 800 cases recorded on daily basis since the beginning of this month.
