Police and government forces on Monday detected an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the Awantipora area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, official sources said.

They said that the IED was found in an orchard near Panjgam area of Awantipora.

Bomb Disposal Squad has been rushed to the area to defuse the device, the sources told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS).
