Separatist leader Abdul Samad Inqalabi has been booked under the Public Safety Act days after his arrest from his house in Ganistan Sumbal village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Brother of Inqalabi told local news agency Kashmir News Trust that Abdu Samad was arrested in a nocturnal raid and was lodged at police station Sumbal.
“From the police station, he was shifted to sub-jail Bandipora. Today in the morning, PSA was slapped over him and subsequently shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu,” Muhammad Yousuf said.
He said from the past two years after his release from the jail, Abdul Samad Inqalabi was inactive due to his frail health. “We don’t understand on what ground he was booked again under Public Safety Act,’ his brother said.
10 others booked under PSA in Bandipora
Meanwhile, quoting official sources told local news gathering agency GNS reported that total eleven people, who were allegedly involved in “unlawful and subversive” activities, were slapped with PSA and were subsequently shifted to different jails.
Those booked include—Kaiser Ahmad Parray, son of Nazir Ahmad Parray, a resident of Parray Mohalla, Asham, Zahoor Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Nabi Dar, a resident of Chewa village, Mohd. Saleem Parray, son Mohd. Ramzan Parray, a resident of Khos Mohalla Hajin, Irfan Ahmad Lone, son of Mohd Afzal Lone, a resident of Bangar Mohalla, Hajin, Irfan Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Aziz Bhat, a resident of Syed Mohalla, Hajin, Naseer Ahmad Parray, son of Bashir Ahmad Parray, a resident of Kathpora Hajin and four others.
