One residential house got damaged in a midnight blaze in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
The house belong to Mohammad Sadiq Bhat from Sadiq Colony, Sopore.
An official said that the incident occurred on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
Officials from fire and emergency department said that they received information about the incident at around 2 am following which they rushed to the spot.
He said that fire tenders, police, locals were pressed into service to douse off the flames, however, one residential house got damaged in the incident.
The cause of fire was not known immediately, however, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation, officials said. (KS)
