House, cowshed gutted in Bandipora fire incident

A residential house and cowshed in its vicinity were gutted in a fire incident in Sheikhmuqaam village of Aloosa Bandipora last night, officials said on Monday.

Quoting officials a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS), reported that a single-storey residential house, belonging to one Javad Ahmad Gojer son of Late Khaleel Ullah, was gutted along with household goods in the fire incident.

Also, one cowshed and a tinshed belonging to his neighbour Mohammad Shafi son of Late Taj Mohammad were also damaged in the fire, the cause of which was not immediately known.

Confirming it, an official of the Fire and Emergency Department said that timely response by Fire Services Station headquartered in Bandipora saved surrounding property worth crores of rupees. (GNS)
